Where can I buy the Nightbreed soundtrack/score? The Nightbreed soundtrack was released on cassette, compact disc and LP (vinyl). It's currently out of print, but you can usually buy a copy of the CD on eBay or from a private seller on Amazon. The Nightbreed 'Main Titles', 'Meat For The Beast' and 'End Titles', on the other hand, can be found on Danny Elfman's 1990 release "Music For A Darkened Theatre", which is still available for sale in the retail market. Where can I buy a mask like the one Dr. Decker wore? You can buy a rather impressive looking reproduction of Dr. Decker's mask from a company called Silver Shampain Novelties. Although I haven't purchased anything from them before, their testimonial section is full of reviews regarding the quality of their products and customer service. The mask currently costs $200 and shipping and handling is $9 (unless you require international shipping). I also managed to stumble across kreationX.com, and they sell a Dr. Decker mask for $120 plus $7 shipping and handling. Again, I'm not sure how reputable they are, but there's a link to their eBay auctions on their site if you'd like to check out their feedback. Will a director's cut of Nightbreed ever be released on DVD? That's a very good question for which I have no concrete answer. Although rumors of an upcoming director's cut have been floating around for almost a decade, the 25 minutes excluded from the theatrical release of the film are apparently hiding somewhere. However, I truly believe that if they're ever found, Clive Barker will see the project to fruition. I could be wrong, mind you, but he has expressed what seems to be a geniune interest in the project (and repeatedly voiced his frustration regarding the misplaced 25 minutes of the film). Where is Midian? I've actually dedicated an entire page to this question that I hope to add much more information to. You can find it under "Resources/Location Of Midian", and I suspect that you'll learn a few things if you have the time and patience to make it through the entire page (even though it isn't technically complete in regards to filming locations). Do you sell [insert random Nightbreed related item here]? No, I don't. This is strictly a fan site. I don't sell anything, buy anything. manufacture anything or profit from anything sold, bought or manufactured, nor do I intend to start. If you'd like to make a donation to Midian, The Devil's Playground or Half Eaten Corpse, that's another story entirely. What's your fascination with Nightbreed? Where do I start? First of all, I'm a fan of the horror genre in general and have always enjoyed Clive Barker's flicks (even the tremendously cheesy Rawhead Rex). However, Nightbreed is obviously not your typical horror film. There's something very alluring about Midian and its monsters. Whether it has to do with the general philosophy that a place such as that truly exists, the bitter irony associated with the realization that human beings are the only real monsters on this planet or the aesthetic beauty of the film, I cannot say. Simply put, there are far too many aspects of Clive Barker's Nightbreed that fascinate me to pinpoint one or two of them. Who is responsible for Midian? I am the only person who can take any credit for the design, operation and maintenance of this site. Who am I? I'm the ethereal looking creature pictured on the contact page. And no, I couldn't type that "ethereal looking creature" bit without laughing because I've honestly never used those three words to describe myself. Can you make certain scenes from the movie and/or all of Clive Barker's Nightbreed available for download on your site? The short answer is no. The long answer is that with technology being what it is and copyright laws being what they are, fulfilling the first request is generally difficult, and the mere thought of fulfilling the second tends to make me wonder what the requester has been smoking. However, if you're willing to provide short video clips, I will be more than willing to host them. When are you going to add [insert something I've promised to add to Midian at some point in time here]? I realize that most of the general internet surfing public is very impatient when they want something, but what most people fail to remember when they ask this question repeatedly is that I am a human being, not a machine. I eat, I sleep, I have real feelings and everything takes time. Of course, I hope that the fans of Clive Barker's Nightbreed are a bit more understanding than the fans of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, but in anticipation of this question, all I can really say is "when I get around to it". I sent you an email. Why haven't you responded? Because I secretly hate you. Believe it or not, I have a life that doesn't revolve around the internet, so I don't always have time to respond to all of the emails I get. I appreciate all of the wonderful comments I receive though, regardless of whether or not I reply to them right away. If you've asked me a question and fail to receive a response, chances are that the answer is here in the FAQs, you completely creep me out, you're a pest and/or I can't understand whatever the hell you've written because I'm not fluent in ALL CAPS or net speak. |
