Mid-October each year the Texas/O.U. Weekend hits Dallas, Texas. This event centers around a simple college football game between the U. of Texas and Oklahoma U.; but nothing's simple in Texas. What really happens is a SuperAmerican go-crazy blood-grudge ritual: thousands of Texans and Okies overrun the streets. Knee-walking drunk; brawl and butt heads; throw TV sets out hotel windows; crash cars and trucks --- it's a small, fast off-the-record Weekend War fought for no reason except for the hell of it. This story fits into this uncontrollable weekend.
